Cala Conta Ibiza Designed by Maged Bermawi
In a prime position overlooking the bay of Cala Conta, widely regarded as one of the best stretches of beach in the Mediterranean and offers a fantastic view of the known Illa del Bosc, which stands for the best sunsets on the island.
The Calaconta design philosophy is to blur the boundaries between inside and outside – the stones used to build the houses were to be taken from the same place, so that it is consistent with the area and have the stones and trees inside. The glass facades are opened and disappear into the walls to create open spaces within their own villages.
Other interesting features of the design are the use of Tadellakt completed and in the bathrooms (this technique is widely used in Morocco, but only rarely in Europe) and “Zoom Window” a clever roof is equivalent to an incandescent light with natural light.
The villas are designed in a way to ‘H’ with the living area on the left side and areas of rest and relaxation on the right side. This means that none of the walls between the living and sleeping area touch to obtain a real separation upright.
Calaconta also has impressive environmental friendliness of rainwater and gray water harvesting and geothermal energy for each villa.
Calaconta is the first private development on the island, 24 hour security, including cameras, a low voltage perimeter door and a team that has run around the property 24/7 monitoring for something out of the ordinary.
